Functional Flow by Action Hiro @ THE SQUARE: RM228

[22 Feb] 9:00am-11:00am & [23 Feb] 9:00am-11:00am
Remember what it felt like when we were beginning our yoga journey? The soreness yes, but also a freedom in our bodies that we were not used to, a lightness in our step, the glow in our being. The movements, the shapes, were new to our bodies and the shapes served in increasing the range of function in our bodies. If we are honest, there are a lot of poses that are relatively comfortable for us now. So how can we increase our focus, our range of function, so that we can keep moving towards a better functioning self? This master class incorporates different mobility exercises within familiar poses. We will introduce different transitions that shift the mental focus from fitting into a shape to making the shape serve a greater functionality in our bodies. The goal is to bring us closer towards the freedom we seek within.

Phoenix Rising by Action Hiro @ THE SQUARE: RM178

[22 Feb] 5.30pm-7:00pm
We can do the same thing twice and in one instance it’s mechanical, cerebral and in the other it feels intuitive. We tend towards one or the other, but the magic of ascending into the version of ourselves that we either see possible, or surprise ourselves with is when the two meet.

Alignment, engagement, and structure are all tools that are helpful in feeling stronger and more agile in life. It’s important to remember that an elevated flow state is what the tools provide: trusting the muscle memory so that we can be present to flow into new spaces confidently, with excitement, and feel the possibility of our beauty without the barriers we impose on ourselves. Allow yourself the freedom to be by moving in this creative flow.

“Linnet inspires me with her elegant, empowering and effective ways as a teacher, facilitator, healer and energy practitioner. Through a guided visualisation during a talk which I first attended in 2017, Linnet helped me to envision my best life and to release limiting/toxic beliefs that were holding me back energetically and emotionally. Ever since then, I have been consciously making choices to live that happy, healthy and wholesome life which I envisioned. Each time I attend her workshop or talk, I learn something valuable that I am able to apply in my relationships, career and most importantly – in my journey of inner healing and self mastery.”

Her way of teaching is easy to understand and fun. The best part about her sessions is that they’re very practical – Linnet has immense experience in professional life so it’s not the theory that she’s teaching and sharing but true practical tools and skills that can be used daily to live a balanced and amazing life.”

Dreams Interpretation Workshop by Octavia Wilkinson

[22 Feb] 2:30pm-4:30pm @ AXA ARENA

True story: Suffering from anxiety and low self esteem, a 19-year-old woman (let’s call her Hena) sought therapy from Octavia Wilkinson. Hena was engaged to be married into an arranged marriage.During the course of the therapy, she had a repetitive dream: her wrists were cut with broken glass and she was bleeding uncontrollably.

This dream frightened her although she tried to dismiss her fears. With the help of Dreams Interpretation she received with Octavia, she managed to understand what her dreams meant in her own life….. Cutting out her own individuality or own life source, impaling her sense of autonomy and not being true to herself. Her dream was a warning sign that everything that was essential to her would be gone.

In time, she found the confidence to break off the engagement to do the things that she enjoyed doing and what made her feel alive.

Hena was one of Octavia Wilkinson’s many clients who greatly benefited from looking at dreams from a mental health perspective.

Could your unconscious be trying to tell you something important about the direction your life is taking?

We often go for health checkups, but how often do we go for dream checkups and also mental health checkups? Don’t miss this opportunity to come for her workshop.

About Octavia Wilkinson

She trained at the Anna Freud Centre, UCL and the British Psychotherapy Foundation(BPF) and spent ten years working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services in London. A Mindful Choice: Documentary Premiere and Meditation Introductory Session by Maria Linghult and Dominic Aw

[22 Feb] 8:00pm-10:00pm @ AXA ARENA: RM18

Witness the impact of meditation at the premiere of “A Mindful Choice”. Play with your present moment | inner state in an intro session.A Mindful Choice | Documentary

The documentary follows two Kiwi meditation teachers as they connect with people from Europe and Central America who make the successful choice for inner peace and move from suffering to an effective, connected life, free from the internal chatter of the mind. Stunning cinematography and powerful sharing combine to deliver a moving experience for the viewer, showing that “Ahimsa” is possible for all.

Meditation Introductory SessionMaria Linghult and Dominic Aw will then guide you in exploring a present moment experience and your inner state and explain how a change in your relationship to your mind can reconnect you with the inner peace you already know.

Dominic is a certified Ishaya’s Ascension meditation teacher with a passion for guiding individuals in their journey of self-awareness. A lawyer by training, a stressful corporate life precipitated his search for relief. He found a simple mechanical meditation practice which allowed him to rise above the chatter of his mind and reconnected him with the peace he experienced as a child. A daily meditation practice relieved his stress, improved his relationships and made life more present, clear, focused and alive. Happily, he now combines his corporate work with teaching meditation.

In 2010 Maria discovered the profound effect of meditation and how changing the relationship to the mind, transformed her personal and business life. Inspired by the change within herself, she quit her 20-year financial career and dedicated her path towards facilitating transformations based on consciousness and self-awareness. Maria is a certified Ishayas’ Ascension meditation teacher and has been teaching since 2012 in more than 10 countries. She has an extensive background as a well-established fitness instructor and holds certificates in several yoga disciplines. Her 20 years’ career in consultancy and finance was mainly dedicated to international strategic and operational business development and implementation (including leadership and cultural change management).
